MEET LANDI
She had a voice and a word to influence positive change. So she did.
Landi Jackson-James is a Software Engineer, Innovation and Strategic Manager, Thought Leader, and Entrepreneur managing multi-million dollar innovation contracts and collaborating with private-sector clients. With more than 20 years experience, Landi uses her skills to highlight the benefits of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) in communities that are typically underrepresented in these disciplines.
Landi is the Founder and CEO of the DNAwesome STEM Club, a national K-12 STEM Education Enrichment program dedicated to confronting the pipeline to prison situation by creating a Pipeline to PhD in STEM majors among minority communities.
Landi seeks to impact the lives of high school, college-aged STEM students, and professional adults through coaching and motivational speaking. Landi believes it is indeed possible to achieve full potential by shattering glass ceilings, defying stereotypes, eliminating negative self-talk, and deliberately working to make an impact and not just an impression.

DNAWESOME STEM CLUB
I was "Designed for Excellence"
DNAwesome STEM Club provides a comprehensive Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) extracurricular after school program for K-12 schools and STEM Summer Camps nationally. The Club’s motto “I am fearfully and wonderfully made…” is found in Psalm 139 and is included in the lessons taught to each child.
DNAwesome STEM Club is the brainchild of Landi. The STEM Club is designed to confront the school-to-prison pipeline by exposing underrepresented children to STEM disciplines at an early age. We seek to bridge the gap between minorities in STEM-related careers, by mentoring them through the Kindergarten to PhD pipeline, creating opportunities for generational change within their communities.
DNAwesome STEM Club currently has after school clubs in a few schools in Maryland. In 2020, DNAwesome STEM Club plans to open more schools in the South and Northeastern parts of the United States, as well as in the Caribbean.
